An In-Building Emergency Responder Communications Enhancement System (ERCES) is a wireless communications system used by first responder and emergency services personnel, such as police, fire, emergency medical, homeland security, and disaster response agencies. First responder communications capabilities are a critical component of every emergency response that takes place within a building.

Per IFC 510 Emergency Responders Radio Coverage the follow buildings will require a survey as outlined below:

  • For any structure with an overall square footage of 12,000 square feet

  • For any structure with a height of 30’ or more above grade level

  • For any structure with a level below grade

  • For any structure determined to be of concern of proper radio communication, CJCFPD can request a signal strength study to be completed.

Our RF specialist conduct on-site RF grid testing and generate detailed grid reports to assess and document indoor public safety radio signal coverage in compliance with NFPA 1221 and IFC 510 fire codes, ensuring effective Emergency responder radio coverage.
